Problem

As part of our Final Year Project, we wanted to understand how modern tracking and logistics platforms manage real-time location data, rider operations, and customer visibility. Building such systems requires handling GPS tracking, location synchronization, operational monitoring, and administrative controls that allow businesses to manage riders and track activities efficiently. We needed practical experience developing the backend and management tools that power these tracking ecosystems.

Solution

Tracka was developed as a Final Year Project to explore GPS-based tracking systems, rider management workflows, and real-time operational monitoring. The platform demonstrates how location data can be collected, processed, and presented through administrative dashboards to improve visibility and coordination between riders and customers. My contribution focused on building the administrative layer of the platform, enabling operators to manage users, monitor activities, and oversee tracking-related operations through a centralized dashboard.

Outcome:

Tracka provided hands-on experience in developing management systems for GPS-based tracking platforms. Through building the administrative dashboard and backend APIs, I gained practical knowledge of location-based applications, operational monitoring systems, backend architecture, and dashboard-driven user management workflows commonly used in logistics and mobility solutions.
